Design
Unless you get a different design, almost every TV looks the same at least now. Look closely and you can notice the difference. Kodak UHDXSMART has a very basic design and has a thick border around a black panel. The remote sensors are located on the bottom right corner, and it takes time to use them. There are standard ports that come with Kodak UHDXSMART TV.
There are three USB 3.0 HDMI ports, two AV In sockets with an SD slot and a 3.5mm slot. The back of the port is easy to access. TVs can be mounted on the wall or with a chair. We did not test the TV by installing it on the wall and using it on the stand that came with it. There are three good HDMI ports, two USB ports, two AVIn sockets, an SD card slot, and a 3.5mm jack for headphones. All ports are located behind and can be accessed easily. For TVs in the price segment, Kodak UHDXSMART is well-designed.
Display
The 50-inch LED TV has a resolution of 3840x2160 pixels and has a UHD panel up to 500mm. The viewing angle is sufficiently large, and the color separation is good. The dark tones of television seem very natural and we do not notice any signs of saturation. The brightness is not the best but can not complain again. Sometimes we feel that the black level is not as deep as we would like, but that's not something that annoys us too much. There is a set of standard ways you can choose from.
Performance
From the point of view, Kodak UHDXSMART has a dual-core 1.4 GHz processor coupled with the Mali-T720 GPU. It has 8GB of internal storage and 1GB of RAM. This is an Android TV that works with version 5.1.1. Apps like Gmail, YouTube, Facebook are pre-installed. It supports audio formats such as WMA, WMV, ASF, MP4, MPG, MPEG, VRO, VOB, FLV, MP2 and MP3.
Remote is comfortable and has many features. Kodak has included quick commands for fast remote access. For example, there are special buttons for YouTube and Netflix.
As with most Android TVs, users have the option to install the software, but there are many pre-programmed applications. The TV's user interface takes some time to use - and most of it until the remote sensors are inserted - but when you make it easy to use. While there are 8GB of internal memory, some users, especially those who prefer downloading apps, cannot find enough.
Verdict
At Rs 34,990, there can not be too much expectation from Kodak UHDXSMART. Design is satisfied while the display is good. The color reproduction is sharp and any content viewing is a good experience. At this point, Kodak has many features, though the audio effects let you down. If you are not a brand, this is a TV that can call you. It answers most of the expectations that buyers can get from the TV.
